Expectations

Visual to cleanup and Individualized Schedules

When timer rings, students will follow transition expectations by cleaning up their area and checking their individualized schedules. The picture, word or other specialized material will tell the children to come to circle time. Each child finds their chair labeled with their name, picture, or symbol, and sits down.

Sticker, Food, and Money Reinforcers

Once seated each child will get their reinforcer (i.e. one child will get a goldfish, two children will get a sticker for their sticker books, and one child will get a pretend dollar). Each child varies because they each are reinforced by different items.

Visual and Itouch Expectations

I review our classroom circle rules and pictures. One child uses an ipod touch with minimal assistance for expressive language. On the ipod touch are pictures of our four rules. We do this before every circle or teacher directed activity. As I touch the picture the class chorally responds by labeling the rule, and demonstrating the behavior. The rules are Sit, Look, Listen, Quiet, and Follow directions.
These are other behavioral cue cards I use as needed with children
